Reconvene at the Church for “Dinner on the Grounds” at 12:30ish

Provided

*Meat, Buns, Tea, Water, and Ice, along with plates & eating utensils will be furnished.
*That’s Cort’s famous BBQ that you don’t want to miss!

What to Bring

You are invited to bring your favorite covered dish to complement a BBQ feast!
If BBQ isn’t your thing, bring an alternative main dish that you and others might enjoy.
We usually have a good mix of veggies, fruits, casseroles, breads and desserts.
It is suggested that you bring a comfortable lawn chair.
(We have a few folding chairs in the shed that we’ll use for our visitors).
In the event of inclement weather, the dinner will be held inside the church building.

If you haven’t been to church in a while there are several good reasons to come to homecoming:

We missed Homecoming last year as we were dealing with Hurricane Frances so we’ve got to make up for that!
We’ll hear a special guest preacher: The Rev. Stencil Quarles, pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church
We’ll celebrate with the recipients of the McCain Family Scholarship
We’ll gather in our beloved sanctuary that’s been upgraded with safer entrances, air conditioning and renovated windows.
(Still using the hard pews but you can bring a cushion if you like!)
We’ll discover whether the pastor can still fit into his specially tailored “Circuit Rider” outfit for the 17th year in a row.
We’ll sing! Rev. Jane Jenkins will bring her guitar and lead a “sing-along” during/after the meal
We’ll eat!! There will be FOOD!

Hope you are planning to come!
